The cherry blossoms have fallen…
yet so many different flowers are in bloom. It’s beautiful! One of my favorites is this pink flower I don’t know the name of.
This is a picture I took of it back when I studied abroad in Kyoto.
✦ I bought some macarons from Ladurée in Umeda LUCUA on my way home from work Sunday. I can’t get over the fact that I can casually stop by and buy some delicious Parisian macarons on my way home! This is definitely something I dreamed of in my future life as a kid.
✦ There’s another place I’ve been stopping by when commuting through Umeda, a bakery called Le Bihan. They have good loaves of bread. I have really been in a baguette mood lately.
✦ After ice skating in Namba on my day off, I tried Blue Bottle Coffee for the first time, per my friend Ahri’s recommendation. It was fantastic, and my “Nola cold brew” came with oat milk cold foam as an option. That’s awesome, like what?! I gave the name “Mia” and the cashier kindly complimented my Japanese. Then, I walked upstairs and got to watch trains go by as I enjoyed my coffee. Also, Mae said my cold brew looks like a duck. I can’t unsee it now!!
✦ At the nail salon, I got magnetic shimmery pink nails. They look amazing, I adore the way they catch the light. Natsuki did amazing, and she was so so sweet, we had a fun conversation about various things like favorite movies, anime, Japan, and English slang, (despite my rusty Japanese skills)! I am planning on visiting a bakery in Osakako she works at this upcoming Friday before work! ~ Here’s to making new friends! c:
✦ Randy compared my nails to the iridescent look of a birds’ feathers. I think they look like a fading sunset. They remind me a lot of Kiera, my OC.
✦ I am so tired, my eyes are starting to close. I worked from 1:50 to 9:50 today, and I work at 9:50am tomorrow- so it is probably best I rest. One perk of living in a short-term hotel apartment is the monthly cleaning service. But before I rest I want to make sure my scrapbooking supplies and things are stored away to make the cleaning person’s job easier. (I also like to know where all my stuff is).
✦ I’m becoming more familiar with the tarot deck Jeanie gifted me. I have got the judgement card and the 7? of pentacles two days in a row, now.
~ alsoo I was listening to “Bad Angel” by Aryma and LISA after seeing clips of the Coachella performance- what amazing visuals!! I do really like blasting EDM in my headphones while walking through the train station to work. I am here for the EDM revival lately.
My next update will be about my apartment… yay! Many things are in motion.
