✦ There was a typhoon (downgraded to a tropical storm) which hit the Kansai area on Tuesday evening. The rain and wind weren’t as bad as the forecast predicted… which was nice, since I was able to enjoy exploring new areas!
✦ I’m moving on Saturday and am very much NOT prepared. Oops. I should be doing that now… but I have an overlap with my old place until Monday morning, which is also when the Osaka gas guy is coming to turn on my utilities. SO I think I’m okay.
✦ On one of my days off last week, I went to a Korean cafe in eastern Osaka with friends!
Labubu Dubai Chocolate Cafe. I had no clue this was the theme prior to going.
✦ Also, don’t mind the fact the above photo is blurry! I ordered an iced “einspänner” which is supposedly a Viennese drink. It was quite good, but not as delicious as my previous one at a café near Sumiyoshi Taisha (pictured below).
✦ However the staff at the Korean café told us we could take a picture using a photo booth receipt printer! Our faces are immortalized on the wall now, how fun!
✦ Afterwards, we went to the arcade. I tried “DANCERUSH”, a game very similar to DDR. I really wanted to do an outdoor activity but it’s been getting sooo humid here, so we hit up a British-style pub and the mall instead.
I started playing project sekai again after years!
✦ The event story mode makes it quite a useful game for learning Japanese, even if I am constantly screenshotting to look up kanji I don’t know.
✦ This is a shorter blog post tonight since I’m tired. I’ll write more tomorrow and share a bit about some art and a lovely day with a new friend!~ I had to get this post out of draft jail somehow!
